Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Development Coordinator supports donor engagement and fundraising operations during a transformative period for the Winspear Centre. This role is ideal for a high-potential early-career professional ready to grow with us.

What you will do:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to donor inquiries via email and phone
  • Attend in-person at the Winspear Centre and in the community, for events and concerts
  • Process donations accurately and manage donor data in our CRM system
  • Generate reports and insights to support fundraising strategy
  • Support a large team of volunteers contributing to time and talent to the Winspear
  • Coordinate donor and volunteer recognition programs and ensure timely acknowledgments
  • Maintain donor and volunteer lists and support donor recognition efforts
  • Assist with event logistics including guest lists, name tags, and donor hosting
  • Collaborate on building new systems for donor engagement and stewardship

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administration, fundraising, or customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; CRM experience (Tessitura preferred)
  • Comfortable with flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Clear criminal record check
