Job Summary:

The Guest Services Ticketing Advisor is responsible for helping with the day-to-day running of the Winspear Box Office. Reporting to the Director of Guest Experience, the individual will work within a small team to deliver exemplary customer service to a wide variety of patrons. The Guest Services Ticketing Advisor will develop relationships with patrons, maintain an accurate database, and help execute events at the Winspear. They will have a high attention to detail and be comfortable working in a database while speaking with patrons.

What you will do:

  • Be a welcoming, reliable name and face to patrons contacting or visiting the Winspear Box Office
  • Deliver outstanding guest experiences in-person, on the phone, and via email
  • Be one of the first points of contact for our organization and communicate with the intent to understand
  • Handle inbound ticket sales, record keeping, administrative tasks, and customer concerns with a positive attitude
  • Work with diverse patrons and team members
  • Provide accurate information about the Winspear, events, and ticket sales for guests and part-time Box Office staff
  • Be comfortable and enjoy working within a database system
  • Take responsibility for select administrative tasks related to Ticketing and the Tessitura database
  • Support the Box Office Ticketing Coordinators in staff supervision

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience with a commitment to creating positive experiences for guests
  • Strong proficiency with computers, including databases. Experience with Tessitura (arts organization software) is considered an asset
  • Experience working in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
  • Detail orientated and thorough to ensure no errors are made
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Energetic and able to contribute well within a team environment
  • Able to work evening and weekend shifts
  • Experience in supervision of staff is considered an asset
  • Clear criminal record check
