Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Major Gifts Officer leads donor engagement and fundraising efforts for the Winspear Centre and Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. This role will play a key part in completing our capital campaign and expanding our donor community.

What you will do:

  • Attend in-person at the Winspear Centre and in the community, for events and concerts
  • Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects
  • Lead capital campaign strategies and donor engagement efforts
  • Connect donors to ESO concerts, education programs, and community events
  • Develop customized proposals and fundraising communications
  • Organize donor events, tours, and recognition activities
  • Represent the Winspear at community functions and networking events
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions in our CRM system

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, communications, or donor relations
  • Proven success in cultivating and securing major gifts
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and networking abilities
  • Strategic thinker with project management experience
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Tessitura preferred) and MS Office
  • Comfortable with flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Clear criminal record check
