Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing and is responsible for keeping our marketing projects and campaigns organized and ensuring smooth communication and alignment among internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a natural collaborator with a positive attitude, strong solution-based work ethic, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. We are seeking a highly organized professional who can think both strategically and creatively to execute multiple concurrent marketing plans and tactics.
This work will involve extensive collaboration with multiple teams inside the organization as well as several external partners, suppliers and clients.
This position works at home and at the Winspear Centre, and requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members, internal stakeholders, external partners, and suppliers to execute marketing initiatives.
- Continuously identify new opportunities and bring fresh ideas for improvement.
- Keep marketing projects on track, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure timely execution.
- Develop and adhere to workback schedules and have a plan to mitigate unplanned issues.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders about project status and updates.
- Aid in the creation and organization of engaging content for various platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters, and print materials.
- Assist with copywriting for social media, web content, press releases, and other marketing materials.
- Assist with email marketing campaigns, including content creation, design within a template, list management, and performance analysis.
- Conduct surveys and other market research to identify trends, consumer attitudes and concerns, and the competitive landscape.
- Provide insights to inform marketing strategies and campaign adjustments.
- Maintain a consistent brand image in all communications by adhering to branding guidelines.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in marketing and communications, particularly within the music and event industry.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of marketing or communications experience in a corporate environment, advertising, or media agency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Resourceful, creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks without jeopardizing quality.
Preferred Skills:
- High proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Hands-on experience with marketing technology such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp, and other similar tools is considered an asset.
- Experience with tools such as CRM systems, Google Analytics, social media analytics is considered an asset.
- Experience working in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
- Knowledge of Tessitura (arts organization software) is considered an asset
