Orchestral Librarian Assistant- Canada Summer Job
The Francis Winspear Centre for Music is seeking a dynamic individual as an Orchestral Librarian Assistant. This is a 10-week role from June 20-August 29, 2025 working 35 hours/week and the Assistant will support the library operations.

This position is pending due to approval of government funding. The position requires candidates to meet the following criteria:
- Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
- Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and refugee Protection Act
- Legally entitled to work in Alberta and Canada
What you will do:
- Catalog Orchestral, Jazz and Chamber repertoire
- Scan music for the 2025/2026 ESO season
- Help with ESO summer concerts as needed
- Part preparation including bowing, errata, and page turn fixes
- Support the Orchestral Librarian with other support as needed
Qualifications:
- Student in or graduate of a College, University or Institute music or library studies program
- Experience working or volunteering in a performance library
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with many details, be organized and able to prioritize work
- Positive attitude
- Able to work evening and weekends when required
Hourly Wage: $19/hour
The position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
