Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Operations & Strategic Initiatives, the Technical Director strategically coordinates all production and technical resources needed to transform ideas into unforgettable programs, concerts, and events, to ensure that every performance and program offered by the Winspear and ESO unfolds smoothly and seamlessly.
What you will do:
- Manage Production Department budget, staffing needs, and staff schedule
- Manage all production-related resources and equipment, including acquisition, maintenance, safety, storage, and future planning
- Provide effective written and verbal communication between clients and internal team on all production-related needs to ensure service delivery expectations are met
- Develop and manage the organization’s safety program
- Ensure adherence to agreements with IATSE
- Ensure that the Winspear remains at the forefront of technological advances and new initiatives
- Develop reports and analysis to inform organizational decision-making on production-related concerns
- Enter production-related information in Artifax software
- Review invoices and hours for payroll processing
- Develop trusting relationships with clients, IATSE crew and leadership
- Input, review, and approve production-related information on event settlements
Qualifications:
- Experience managing one or more elements of production at a live music venue
- Experience working with orchestras and/or IATSE crew an asset
- Familiarity with AutoCAD & Artifax software an asset
