The Francis Winspear Centre for Music seeks dynamic individuals as Guest Services Representatives. We are looking for employees excited to be part of our music-centered, community-driven organization for this part time position. This position requires candidates to be over 18 years of age.

The Guest Services Representative is responsible for greeting, serving, and facilitating an excellent experience for every patron, client, and guest who comes to the Francis Winspear Centre for Music. They efficiently serve the patron in various roles and prioritize creating a positive experience. Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, this individual will responsibly serve food and beverages, take tickets, usher, and more, all under the guise of delivering the best service.

What you will do:

    • As a member, you will play a crucial part in our commitment to customer care and the success of our organization by delivering the highest standard of guest services for each event hosted at the facility.
    • Create DEFINING MOMENTS for our Guests.
    • We want to improve our Guests’ experiences by connecting with them and creating memories that will enrich their lives and yours. We want to treat every Guest as a VIP (very individual person) and create a personalized experience for each of them.
    • Act in various roles, including ushering, ticket taking, coat check, concession services, and the opportunity to cross-train for Ticketing Services
    • Champion excellent experiences for a wide variety of customers by providing answers to questions, seeing to guests’ comfort, processing transactions, and taking ownership of solutions to customer concerns
    • Work with diverse people, including within a team and patrons.

Qualifications:

    • Customer service experience and commitment to create positive experiences and value guests
    • Enjoy working with people and have compassion, patience, professionalism, and follow-through to provide outstanding customer care.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
    • Positive attitude
    • Energetic and able to contribute well within a team environment
    • Comfortable standing and walking for a minimum of 4 hours and lifting up to 10 pounds
    • A minimum of 18 years of age
    • Able to work evening and weekend shifts
    • Familiarity with ticketing (box office), cash handling, and ProServe certification are assets.

Hourly Wage: $15.25/hour plus tips
